About TMCY

To Whom It May Concern:

This began as a whimsical exercise poking fun at an innocent crush gone wrong and the quandary that is Facebook friend purgatory.

For some reason, I’m writing a few more open letters. I want to get over 100. I don’t know why. I’m really not that funny, and won’t necessarily try to be. Some letters will be serious. Others will be silly, self-deprecating, unabashedly honest, sarcastic and thought-provoking. And that’s the aim … to make you think. I’m going to test your — and my — moral perception and social consciousness in a way that is rarely seen.

In short, This May Concern You: The Open Letter Blog is where Stuff White People Like meets Stuff Black People Hate on a plate with a double side of social awareness and moral scope. No, I’m not leaving out Indians, Native Americans, Hispanics, Asians and Jews or gays, bi-sexuals and RuPaul wannabes. I’m all inclusive. Deal with it, chuckle, learn something and pass it along.

I’m a writer who as a child refused to tell a shrink my story because I thought he was a waste of my parents’ money. I still won’t pay for one. So you get these random, yet calculated open letters.

Won't be doing this anytime soon ... looks like fun, though.

Won't be doing this anytime soon ... looks like fun, though.

I’m 28, and recently told one of my best friends that I want to jump out of a plane before 30. She said she would be down for drop as well, but I’m already having regrets. I don’t trust too many people. Why would I trust my life to the straps of a parachute I’m not certain will open?

I guess these letters will be my proverbial chute. I’m jumping now.

Deuces,

Damon

It all began over a Facebook episode?? Now that’s pretty hilarious!
